150,000 lei per family to get out of the winter

Premier Victor Ciorbea declared Wednesday that a part of the costs for gas and fuel oil for central heating of the population will be subsidised from the budget. According to Ciorbea’s declarations, each family will be granted about 15,000 lei per month. But this money will be not given directly to he people, but to the thermic suppliers.
The Finance Minister Mircea Ciumara declared that there are already about 600 billion lei from the state budget, that will be granted by December 31, 1997 for the population’s heating.
