The Romanian-American-Swiss commercial joint venture Connecticut Manufacturing Company SA, producing hydraulic equipment was inaugurated Thursday in Bacau.
The investment is $ five million for the first year, the CMC President Valentin Luca declared for MEDIAFAX. The society is financed by the Romanian-American Investment Fund and by the Swiss firm Muller Machines SA.
The society has already signed the first $ 150,000 contract with the British firm Vickers. CMC estimates to have business of $ 3 million in 1998, planning to raise to $ 22 million by 2003, when the number of employees will increase from 19 to 69.
