Electricity price to raise with 5-10%

The price of electricity will increase with 5-10%, the general director of the Romanian Main Electricity Utility (RENEL), Aureliu Leca affirmed Saturday.
When the price of electricity was established at $ 50/KWH (5 cents/KWH), there was considered an exchange rate of 7,300 lei, the 5% flow of the rate demanding the modification of the actual price", he said.
Leca mentioned that a KWH will remain at 5 cents, but at another exchange rate. The RENEL general director declared that the subventions granted to the population will be also maintained.
