 Emil Constantinescu inaugurated TIB ’97

President Emil Constantinescu declared Tuesday that a manifestation like the International Technical Market of Bucharest will have results if the Romanian managers use this occasion for business contacts and if they know how to catch the foreign partners’ attention and interest.
The head of the state reminded that in the past the markets would present products and services which didn’t exist on the market. "If these habits became a recollection, the danger of inefficiency still remains", Emil Constantinescu said at the inauguration of TIB ’97.
In his speech delivered at the official opening, Emil Constantinescu said that the actual edition "keeps the line with the Romanian economy’s strategy of reform and development." The Romanian president noticed the great number of the foreign firms participating in the market, as well as the higher number of states present at TIB.
TIB ’97, which is being held during 14-19 of October, reunites about 1,400 firms, of which 46% are foreign. Of the 30 countries participating in TIB ’97, 18 have national pavilions. At the 1996 edition there were present 26 states, the foreign firms representing 41,5% of all the participants. Among the main products displayed there are machine tools, welding and foundry equipment, industrial robots, means of transport and stock technologies, electronic and elecrotechnical apparata, telecommunication technique, energetic equipment and chemical products.
