The Finance Minister Mircea Ciumara met Thursday with David Lipton, under-secretary of state within the US’ Treasury Department.
After the meeting Ciumara said he demanded the Treasury’s support for the attraction of the American investors in Romania.
"I’m very impressed with the Romanian Government’s efforts regarding the restructuring reform. The economic reform is absolutely crucial for Romania’s integration in the world economy and we are here in order to encourage this effort", Lipton said. He added that the Government’s perseverance in applying the reform is the best way of offering guarantees to the investors wanting to invest in Romania.
