The former king of Romania Mihai I and his wife Ana of Bourbon-Parma arrived Friday in Bucharest. Mihai I was met at the Otopeni airport by the PNTCD senator Radu Vasile, by the Minister of Food and Agriculture Dinu Gavrilescu, senator Ticu Dumitrescu and about 30 supporters.
Mihai I didn’t offer details regarding his settling in Romania. The main aim of the former sovereign’s visit in Romania is his participation to the Sunday divine service at the Cathedral of the Nation’s Re-unification of Alba Iulia for the celebration of 75 years since the crowning of His Majesty King Ferdinand I.
Mihai I will deliver a speech on this occasion. The former sovereign of Romania will leave Monday for Iasi, where he will attend Tuesday the divine service for the celebration of Saint Parascheva at the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Mihai I and Ana de Bourbon-Parma will return Wednesday to Bucharest and on Thursday they will leave for Geneva.
