The Prime Minister Victor Ciorbea announced Monday that there will be founded a Magyar University in Romania.
This problem was discussed by Ciorbea and his Hungarian homologue Gyula Horn during the official meeting at the Victoria Palace demanded by the Hungarian premier.
Horn said that this request was made by the leaders of the
Magyar Democratic Union Of Romania (UDMR), who met Monday the head of the Hungarian Executive before the last official meeting of the two delegations.
Ciorbea said that the University will be not built in Cluj Napoca but somewhere else. According to a message addressed by Laszlo Tokes to the UDMR Executive Board, the Magyar University will be opened in Oradea. He also mentioned that this university could be the basis of the Magyar superior education network of Romania.
